Ensuring Access To Quality Healthcare
Realizing the gap between the demand of supply of quality health care, HUBCO has established/supported several basic health units and dispensaries around its areas of operation to ensure that quality healthcare is accessible to the local communities.
At Hub, HUBCO has placed a dedicated team comprising of a Lady MBBS doctor, two Lady Health Visitors (LHVs), a dispenser, and a local driver.
The LHVs are based in three Community Health Centers in surrounding villages and a mobile van unit that covers around 28 villages in the community providing basic health facility, free consultation, and free medicines to the poor and needy patients. The population of these villages ranges from 500 to 4,000.
At Narowal, Narowal Energy Limited’s CSR team has established two basic health facilities in the village area of Poong and Arood Afghana. The facilities, along with an established dispensary, caters to the medical needs of locals from surrounding villages, and provides free medicine to approximately 7000 patients annually.
Free Medical Camps In Local Communities
As a regular feature of its health program, HUBCO organizes various general medical and special care camps in the Districts of Hub and Lasbela. HUBCO collaborates with Al-Baseer Eye Hospital to set up annual Eye Camps at Jam Ghulam Qadir Hospital where team of specialized doctors and technicians from Al-Baseer Eye Hospital attend to the patients.
Over the past two decades, the Hub CSR team has held a total of 15 eye camps in the areas of Hub and Gadani, successfully treating thousands of patients. The Hub CSR team has also held numerous skin camps over the past decades with thousands of patients in the areas of Hub, Gaddani, and Gaddani Jail receiving treatment.
Narowal’s CSR team also regularly organizes medical camps to help compensate for the lack of health facilities in the local communities
